I built tripbot because planning trips eventually drove me crazy. Not the travelling itself — I love travelling. To me, travelling is freedom.
That feeling when you arrive somewhere you have never been. When you step off the plane, walk through a new city, meet other cultures and realise just how big the world really is.
When you travel, you see things differently. You suddenly notice that many problems that feel huge at home are actually smaller than you thought. You get distance. You meet new people, new places, new ways of living — and understand a little more how different and yet how similar we all are.
And that is exactly why it genuinely hurts me when people say they would love to travel but cannot afford it. I believe travel should be possible for more people. Not a luxury for the few, but something that connects people, opens them up and gives them new perspectives.
tripbot was born from exactly that thought. Not as yet another platform that shows you endless lists of flights and hotels, but as a travel platform that helps you find the trip that truly fits you — more clearly, more honestly and more affordably.
Planning a trip should be the start of the holiday.
I'm Nico, founder of tripbot. And honestly: I didn't build tripbot because I thought the world needed yet another booking site. I built it because I couldn't find a travel platform that actually felt the way I wished it would.
Before almost every trip I was in the same mode: flights on one side, hotels on the next, reviews somewhere else, Google Maps open, price comparisons next to it, maybe TikTok, blogs or YouTube for tips. And with every new tab it did not get better — it got more complicated.
Planning a trip should be the moment you get excited. When you picture where you wake up in the morning, which streets you walk down, where you go for dinner. But often it does not feel like anticipation. It feels like work. Too many options, too little clarity, too many tricks, too little real help.
At some point I thought: if planning a trip is this complicated today, then it needs to be rethought. And that is exactly what I am trying to do with tripbot.
Not show you less. Help you better.
tripbot is meant to make trip planning simple again. Not by showing you less, but by helping you better find the right thing. Because the problem is usually not too little choice. The problem is too much choice — and too little orientation.
Which flight really fits your trip? Which hotel is worth its price? Which option is cheap but stressful? Which costs a little more but saves you time, nerves or detours in the end? Which recommendation actually makes sense — and which only looks good at first glance?
tripbot should not just search. tripbot should think along with you. Like an honest travel companion who does not just want to sell you something, but helps you understand what really fits you. Not louder, not more aggressive, not more complicated. Just clearer.
Because in the end it is not just about booking some flight or some hotel. It is about more people being able to travel — with less stress, less doubt and a better feeling.
What bothers me about travel platforms.
- 20 tabs at once
- Flights here, hotels there, reviews somewhere else, the map view again separately. You compare for hours and still feel unsure. Planning a trip should not mean fighting your way through a chaos of information.
- Prices you can't trust
- A price looks good at first — and later come fees, conditions or surcharges. Trust does not break because something is expensive. Trust breaks when something feels dishonest.
- Recommendations that feel bought
- "Top hotel", "our recommendation", "best deal". But best choice for whom — for me or for the platform? A real recommendation should be transparent, not feel like an ad.
- No real anticipation
- The worst part of bad trip planning is not the lost time. It is that it takes away the anticipation. You start excited to travel — and end up exhausted from comparing. That is exactly what I want to change.
Honesty first. Always.
tripbot should not show you what earns us the most. tripbot should help you find what truly fits you, your budget and your trip. That means explaining recommendations, making prices understandable, creating no artificial panic, hiding no tricks — and being honest when something is not perfect. Because a good travel decision needs no pressure. It needs clarity.

How tripbot makes money.
I think you should know how a platform makes money before you trust it with your trip. So here it is, simply put:
- Fair commissions
- When you book through tripbot, we may receive a commission from the provider — that is normal in travel. What matters is how you handle it. Our goal is not to recommend what earns us the most, but what makes the most sense for your trip: a better location, better value, more flexibility, less stress.
- Optional Premium
- tripbot should stay free to use. Those who want more — more AI support, more comfort, more features for complex trips — can use tripbot Premium. But voluntarily. Premium should give more options. Not hide honesty behind a paywall.
This is only the beginning.
My vision is that one day you just say what you have in mind — and tripbot helps you turn it into a real trip. Not with 20 tabs, not with hours of comparing, not with constant doubt. But clearly, understandably and in minutes instead of hours.
It is not about just booking something. It is about booking with a good feeling — and making travel accessible to more people, so fewer have to say: "Travel is not for me." I am building tripbot step by step. Not perfect from day one. But honest from day one.
tripbot should grow with the people who really travel.
tripbot should not be a platform built quietly in a back room that then claims to know exactly what people need. tripbot should grow with the people who plan, search, compare, doubt, book — and afterwards know exactly what was good and what was annoying.
That is why feedback is not a nice extra at tripbot. Feedback is part of the product. If something bothers you, I want to know. If a feature is missing, I want to know. If you do not trust a recommendation, I want to know why. The next improvement should come from exactly that.
Travel looks different for everyone: for some a big yearly holiday, for some a cheap weekend trip, for some their very first flight, for some a break they saved up for a long time. I want tripbot to take all of these people seriously — not only those with big budgets or lots of experience, but also those who are unsure, who have to save, and who still want to get out there.
If tripbot is built for travellers, then travellers must also have a voice in it. That is why the community should help decide how tripbot evolves: which features matter, what needs improving, and what kind of travel platform people actually want.
