Travel without the headache.

Why I'm building tripbot. A story about anticipation, frustration, and the desire for honest travel.

I'm Nico Neser. From Bavaria, Upper Palatinate, now near Erlangen. And I'm not building tripbot because I "wanted to start a startup".

I'm building tripbot because I know that feeling all too well: you just want to get away. And instead you're sitting there, with open tabs, doubts, that internal stress — and you notice the anticipation quietly fading.

Two kinds of planning.

The first is the beautiful kind. You imagine what the air smells like there. You already picture yourself sitting somewhere — by the sea, in a foreign city. You feel that "I'll be gone soon" sensation.

And then there's the second kind. Browser open. Tabs open. Another tab. And at some point you're sitting there with a head like an overheated laptop thinking: Why does this feel like work right now?

The Origin.

I love travel. Not "booking a holiday", but that feeling of freedom. I was on the road for the first time at four months old. Since then, that wanderlust has been like an internal engine.

Maybe that was exactly why my childhood dream was to be a pilot: flying always smelled like "more world" to me. And yet — or perhaps precisely because of that — travel planning eventually wore me down.

August 2023. I just wanted warmth. Sun. A place where you could breathe again. But as a student, the budget was limited. I had that perfectly normal hope: if I'm saving up, it should be worth it. Best value for money. Not luxurious, not cheap — just sensible.

The Spiral.

One hotel. One flight. Then the return flight is cheaper elsewhere. Then a hotel has good reviews, but breakfast costs extra. The luggage conditions are a mystery.

Okay… what's actually the smart move here?

Why is the price different now?

Is this deliberately confusing?

Do I want to travel… or do I just want the searching to stop?

That's the moment when planning starts to smell like stress. Too many options aren't an advantage — they're noise. In the end you're not more certain, just more tired.

Vision
Vision

Honesty through artificial intelligence.

Why can't I just tell an AI what I really want… and have it give me a suggestion that feels like: Yes. Exactly that.

The Promise.

tripbot is simple at its core: an AI that suggests suitable flights and hotels in just a few minutes — transparently, without tab chaos.

Commissions

Standard in the travel market: when you book through tripbot, we receive a small commission. This keeps the service free for you.

Optional Subscription

Covers infrastructure: server and AI costs. We don't sell data or run ads. Pure transparency.

Anticipation not frustration.
