Regulations governing the use of the tripbot Intelligence platform, our brokerage services, and premium subscriptions.
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter Terms or AGB) apply to the use of the travel and technology platform tripbot (accessible under trytripbot.com and all associated subdomains).

The use of the platform (both the free basic model and the premium services) requires the creation of a user account (registration).
tripbot is directed at both consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB and entrepreneurs/business travelers within the meaning of § 14 BGB (hereinafter collectively referred to as User).
tripbot provides a technology-based platform that searches, combines, and initiates booking processes for travel services using artificial intelligence and program interfaces (APIs).
tripbot acts exclusively as a broker of travel services. tripbot is not a tour operator, transport company (airline), or accommodation provider (hotel).
A contract for the travel service does not arise with tripbot through a booking on the platform. The contract for the flight or hotel stay arises solely and directly between the user and the respective service provider (e.g. airline or hotel) via the interface partner LiteAPI. The general terms and conditions of the respective end-service provider and LiteAPI apply.
The search for travel services and the standard booking brokerage are completely free of charge for the end user in the basic model, with no added markup on the API direct price.
Within the price breakdown in the frontend, a proportionate service share (90% remaining with the provider, 10% platform-related service share) is displayed to the user for reasons of price transparency. This share is not to be understood as an additional charge (fee) on the regular total booking price, but serves to transparently show the integrated B2B commission and purchasing conditions with the interface partner.
The input of credit card data by the user is encrypted within the booking frontend. The actual payment capture is processed through Stripe's Software Development Kit (SDK) directly by the interface partner LiteAPI, or by the operator for the Premium model. tripbot does not act as a physical payment processor or Merchant of Record (MOR) for the actual travel service.
Due to the extreme volatility of flight and hotel prices, tripbot uses an automated, two-step verification process via our secure real-time interface system. As soon as a booking is initiated, the current price is temporarily locked at LiteAPI.
If this locked price deviates by 1% or more from the original search result, the booking process is automatically aborted for consumer protection reasons and the user is blocked in the frontend.
After the temporary price lock expires (usually after 3 minutes), the booking session is invalidated. Any claim by the user to perform the booking under the old conditions is excluded in these cases. Funds are never collected at an unannounced, more expensive price.
For the use of advanced functions, such as increased query limits of the artificial intelligence or additional features in the user dashboard, tripbot offers a paid premium model.
The price for the premium membership is €12.99 incl. VAT per month and is billed in a subscription model via Stripe.
Consumers are entitled to a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for paid digital services.
If the consumer requests the activation of the premium functions (increase of the AI limits) immediately after purchase and uses them before the expiry of the 14-day period, the right of withdrawal expires prematurely once the performance of the service has begun and the consumer has expressly consented to this and confirmed their knowledge of the expiration.
The subscription is automatically extended by a further month and can be canceled at any time in the user dashboard with effect to the end of the current billing period.
tripbot brokers individual travel services through external service providers and API partners. If multiple travel services are booked separately, this does not create an automatic package trip, connection guarantee, or transfer guarantee by tripbot.
If a travel segment (e.g. a flight with Airline A) is delayed or canceled and the user misses a subsequent, separate travel segment (e.g. the connecting flight with Airline B), the financial and operational risk for this lies 100% with the user. tripbot is not liable for secondary costs (e.g. replacement tickets, catering, or hotel stays) arising from missed connections due to delays, strikes, or flight cancellations.
tripbot provides the user with an automated self-service function in the user dashboard for canceling bookings. Through this function, the cancellation is transmitted in real-time directly to the interface of LiteAPI.
Whether a cancellation is possible free of charge, a cancellation fee applies, or the booking is completely excluded from exchange (non-refundable fares) depends solely on the fare regulations of the booked airline or hotel at the time of booking.
tripbot has no influence on the cancellation conditions of the service providers. A claim for a refund exists only if and to the extent provided for by the fare regulations of the respective service provider.
The user is obliged to provide all data in the booking form (names, dates of birth, nationalities, travel documents) completely, truthfully, and exactly matching the official identity documents carried during travel.
Costs, cancellation fees, or boarding denials resulting from typing errors or incorrect information provided by the user (e.g. costs for subsequent name changes by the operating airline) are to be borne 100% by the user.
Availabilities, flight times, and hotel prices are obtained in real-time via external interfaces. tripbot assumes no liability for the correctness, completeness, or timeliness of these third-party data.
tripbot is liable without limitation for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health based on a negligent or intentional breach of duty.
For other damages, tripbot is only liable in cases of intent and gross negligence. In cases of simple negligence, tripbot is only liable if a material contractual obligation (cardinal obligation) is violated, the fulfillment of which makes the proper execution of the contract possible in the first place. Liability is limited in this case to typical, foreseeable damage.
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR), which can be found at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/. We are not obliged or willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For consumers, this choice of law only applies to the extent that the protection granted by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence is not withdrawn.
If the user is a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special public fund, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is the business seat of the operator (Adelsdorf).
